Our Client is an IT solutions & services provider specializing in Connectivity & Communications solutions (network, security, VOIP, IPPBX, SIP services) and Management Tools (IT service management and customer engagement solutions). In line with their rapid business expansion plans, they are looking for an experienced or aspiring Solution Architect. This is an exciting role where you will work closely with business partners, customers & IT team and take on designing and building communication networks. This role is open to candidates with solid technical/engineering background who do not have solutioning experience but good communicators.
This role is opened to ready-with-experience candidates and those who are looking to move into a Solution Architect role. You will require knowledge and solutioning experience in at least 2 or more of the following:
a. SD-WAN design and implementation especially using Fortinet
b. Medium to large campus and data centre network design and implementation (including Security, Load Balancer) especially with Cisco, Fortinet
c. Medium to large wireless implementation (more than 1000 users) various products
d. VOIP telephony system (PABX, SIP)
Compulsory experience

What You Will Do

Planning and designing data communication networks.
-
Presenting network plans to management staff including network engineers, software engineers and more.

Overseeing the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets.

Managing information and network security.
-
Implementing upgrades to hardware and software as needed.

Keeping documentation of networks, including drawings, descriptions and configurations.

Researching network technologies and staying up to date on advancements in the field.
What You Need:

Diploma/Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering, preferably Network, Telecommunication.

Network certification(s) will be added advantage (Cisco, Network+).

Possess working experience in operation: network, routing, switching, wireless and/or voice.

For experienced Solution Architects, you must have project deployment experience, not just solutioning.

Sound knowledge and exposure in:
a. VMware and public cloud
b. Security layers (IPS, FW, WAF)

Knowledge experience and solutioning expertise:
a. SD-WAN design and implementation especially using Fortinet
b. Medium to large campus and data centre network design and implementation (including Security, Load Balancer) especially with Cisco, Fortinet
c. Medium to large wireless implementation (more than 1000 users) various products
