What You Will Do

Gather and validate technical inventory and entitlement data for software assets at the local level. Ensure completeness and accuracy of local asset records, including all relevant software installations and usage.

Maintain up-to-date records of all local software licenses (entitlements), including proof of purchase and deployment. Monitor license usage and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Collaborate with Global SAM to optimize license allocation (e.g., pooling, re-harvesting unused licences).

Coordinate with local business owners, IT teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to facilitate ITAM processes and gather necessary information for reporting and compliance.

Work closely with Global Software Asset Managers to provide required local data for entitlement management and technical inventory, especially when manual intervention or local validation is needed.

Maintain and update the CMDB with accurate and current configuration item (CI) data. Assist in defining and maintaining CI classes, attributes, and relationships.

Reporting and Governance: Responsible for generating reports and tracking metrics related to asset management and CMDB.
What You Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

ITIL Foundation certification required; Intermediate certifications (e.g., Service Transition, RCV) preferred.

2–4+ years of experience in ITSM with exposure to Asset Software Management and CMDB maintenance.

Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).

Experience with automated discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM).

Understanding of IT asset management and service dependency mapping.
