Our Client is a Global IT & Business Hub supporting an international logistic company. We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join the team. You will provide consultation, guidance and problem solving expertise with respect to complex technical issues. You need to ensure the software applications environment is well developed and maintained with high quality.
At least 5 years of working experience in Application Support and ITIL Process, with good exposure on SQL Syntax, MSSQL.

What You Will Do

You will provide 2nd level support (L2) for the existing logistic application, and act as Service Owner and Recovery Manager for regional service, Global or Top Service By Revenue ensure all agreed targets and Service Level Agreements are met and emergency incidents are managed and resolved within the agreed target resolution times.

You will provide application support and advice, and identify opportunity within the organization and partners.

You will assist with quality assurance of activities and educate less experienced colleagues in related areas.

You will liaise with staff for the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements

Be responsible for the adoption of new software releases from systems development staff or software suppliers and ensuring the continued support of the service thereafter.

You will be involved in specific application related projects and take on exciting topics as tasked by the Project Managers.

Applications you will use: Unix and Windows OS, Oracle, SQL, Openshift, Jenkins, Splunk, Teradata, Java, Python
What You Need:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of working experience in Application Support and ITIL Process.

Good exposure on SQL Syntax, MSSQL.

Experience in both Unix and Windows OS environment.

Experience in Openshift.

ITIL foundation and project management techniques or the equivalent experience.
