As Principal Cloud Consultant (Azure), you will come armed with profound Database knowledge and be responsible for delivering solution designs and solution architectures for key global initiatives based on Microsoft Azure. What You Will Do

Provide technical direction on Azure DBs, and architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts especially from DB perspective, and consult end-users on technical aspects of installation, sizing, scaling.

Support development teams in technical questions of continuous integration/continuous delivery, and evangelize re-use through implementation of shared assets.

Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.

Provide insight and direction on roles and responsibilities required for solution operations.

Identify, communicate and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout full lifecycle Analytical/Decision Making.

Considers the art of the possible, compares various architectural options based on feasibility and impact, and proposes actionable plans.
What You Need:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5+ years overall IT industry experience and a minimum of 3+ years in a solutioning role or Database architecture role using service and hosting solutions of Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platform.

Knowledge of basic cloud security controls especially form networking perspective including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.

Excellent technical cloud solutions architecture skills, enabling the creation of future-proof, complex global solutions, and Azure services (especially DBs such as SQL, CosmosDB etc. )

Migration of on prem-servers to public cloud.

Added advantage: Microsoft Azure certifications preferred e.g. Microsoft Azure Expert certification.
