Infrastructure Engineer (Patch Management)

Our Client is a global IT & Data hub supporting their main business as a leading global information services company, providing data and analytical tools to their clients around the world. In line with business requirements, they are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer that applies technology solutions with varying degrees of complexity for both their internal and customer-facing systems. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, testing, technical support, and process enforcement in the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure systems with regards to patch management process.

5-7 years of work experience in IT infrastructure service management including experience in technology operations, patch management, vulnerability management, infrastructure supporting technology towers like Server OS (AIX, Linux, Wintel, on premise and Cloud), Storage, Backup, Virtualization (VMWare).

What You Will Do

Review, test, document, implement, and track software and operation system updates and security patches in the Asia Pacific region.

Provide technical support to diagnose, analyze, research, and resolve computer problems in a Windows enterprise environment.

Coordinate, track, and verify successful deployment of patches, analyze patch and vulnerability information for Desktop Vulnerability Management, and perform system administration and updates as required, operating system and software updates.

Manage and administer business critical systems, such as System Center Configuration Manager, & Active Directory, and coordinate with the Security team to implement solutions for end user device security (Focus on desktop vulnerability with building sustainable process and approach).

Lead and deliver enterprise-level Wintel, VMware and Linux patch, update, upgrade, or configuration changes. Covers premise and cloud patching. AIX patching skill set will be an added advantage.

Govern the adherence to IT Security Policies regarding patch management throughout the APAC region and actively engages in work streams related but not limited to Infrastructure security testing, infrastructure vulnerability scanning, reviewing and prioritizing results, reporting and remediation and/or coordinating the remediation of assessment results.

Management of patching solution for all Infrastructure (Windows and Linux patching) respectively; collection maintenance, reporting services, applying best practices and delivering patch management, planning software pushes using approved patch management software, and reporting and fix failed patches weekly/monthly. You will develop checklists, guides, best practices and procedures to support patch management process.

What You Need:

5-7 years of solid, diverse work experience in IT infrastructure service management including experience in technology operations, patch management, vulnerability management, infrastructure supporting technology towers like Server OS (AIX, Linux, Wintel, on premise and Cloud), Storage, Backup, Virtualization (VMWare) etc.

Strong professional and interpersonal skills including: exceptional customer service, creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communications, planned and organized coordination of cross functional teams, acute attention to detail and quality, driven with the ability to self-manage.

Expert troubleshooting skills of complex technical infrastructure issues in large distributed environment.

Experience with SCCM, Blade logic, Application Service Management.

Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL/SUSE/AIX) Operating systems and Wintel OS for servers, and Windows 10 for PCs.

Added advantage: experience with Rapid7 and Panaseer, Active Directory (Group Policy).
