Our Client was incorporated in 1960 and is listed on the Main Main Market of Bursa Securities. They produce up to 120,000 barrels per day and are the second largest refinery in Malaysia. Operating in Port Dickson, they boast a growing team of 500 employees.

Knowledgeable in the wide spectrum of Process Units (PU) Scheduling, Products Scheduling, Logistics Scheduling.

What You Will Do

Performs PU scheduling, provides PU steers, via refinery crude/feeds program. Issues and communicates E&S guidelines to refinery operations which clearly specify targets on PU intake, operating modes, run down qualities, contingencies plans and utilities balances.

Converts the refinery Production Plan into component/product blend schedules that meet blending quality requirements while minimizing quality giveaway, stock outs and demurrage costs.

Schedules the refinery jetties/ pipeline transfers / gantries for trucks or rail for products discharge/ loadings according to agreed nominations. Ensures right products delivery at the right time at minimal delays & reduce incidental costs e.g. demurrage costs, pipeline interface losses, refinery and supply logistics assets utilizations. Responsible to validate demurrage and oil loss claims.

Applies consistently Refinery Planning and Scheduling (RPS) processes and follows Quality Incident reporting procedures.

Deal with cargo counter-parties, terminals and vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities ensuring all necessary operational information is passed on in good time and documentary requirements are met.

Make cargo and vessel nominations, prepare and send voyage orders and monitor progress of vessels.

Implements in-month refinery and products optimization activities with supply teams to ensure the committed monthly plan is delivered and capture potential margin uplift.

What You Need:

A bachelor degree with more than 3 years of relevant working experience in refinery technology, oil movements or supply & distribution is preferred.

Significant Relevant working experience in refinery technology, oil movements or supply & distribution would also be considered.

Strong influencing, communication, negotiation and team working skills, including an ability to deal cross-functionally and with senior management.

Ability to pick up concepts very quickly, strategize well and proceed to apply theory to action in a LEAN and sustainable manner.

Prior experience in working in a fast-moving commercial environment.

Highly developed numerical and technical aptitude.
