Our Client was incorporated in 1960 and is listed on the Main Main Market of Bursa Securities. They produce up to 120,000 barrels per day and are the second largest refinery in Malaysia. Operating in Port Dickson, they boast a growing team of 500 employees. In line with business requirements, they are seeking a HR Operations Specialist as part of continuous improvement drives. You will take on the critical and exciting role of providing HR excellence in the company with a focus on payroll and analysis.

Knowledgeable in the wide spectrum of HR with a focus on payroll & analysis using Ms Excel/spreadsheet to provide insight into payroll & human capital data.

What You Will Do

Be part of monthly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate remittance to employees and relevant bodies, and in compliance with company policies & procedures, and relevant legal requirements.

Undertake documentation; maintain updates and refinements of payroll procedures.

Keep updated with latest news and development on HR related issues i.e., regulations by statutory bodies, labor laws, & etc.

Manage stakeholders in HR related activities (e.g. employee and contractor movement, transfer, resignation and confirmation, special projects. etc.)

Prepare HR analysis & statistical reports for management’s review to provide detailed insights that will impact business decisions.

Perform ongoing reviews of work processes and SOPs for service delivery excellence opportunities as well as to solidify control to ensure internal and external audit or regulatory compliance.

Drive the Annual Company-wide Performance Review including appraisal data compilation; prepare analysis and summary report; administer promotion exercise; review and recommend salary moderation to maintain internal equity.

What You Need:

Bachelor degree with at least 5-5 years’ HR experience in payroll and/or analysis, preferably in the Oil & Gas or technical industry.

Sound knowledge in Malaysian Employment Act, legislation and benefits provision.

Experience with payroll processing & associated HR and payroll systems.

Excellent active listening and presentation skills.

Excellent communicator in English. Competency in Mandarin will be a strong added advantage.

Experienced using Ms Excel and/or spreadsheet functions such as vlookup and pivot table for data transformation and presentation in order to analyze, report and provide insights.
