Our client was incorporated in 1960 and is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities. They produce up to 120,000 barrels per day and are the second largest refinery in Malaysia. Operating in Port Dickson, they boast a growing team of 500 employees. In line with business requirements, they are seeking for HR Executive (IR & ER) as part of continuous improvement drives. You will take on the critical and exciting role of driving HR excellence in the company.

Knowledgeable in the wide spectrum of HR with a focus on Industrial & Employee Relations area.

What You Will Do

Develop & implement of ER/IR policies for the company, ensure alignment and monitor effectiveness.

Responsible for the preparations, negotiations and follow up of Collective Agreement negotiations.

Responsible for good working relations by maintaining regular engagement with stakeholders i.e. Unions & Senior Staff Council.

Member of the Collective Agreement negotiating team to deliver the Collective Agreement that both meet the local business requirements and company agenda and acceptance by union staff and staff representatives. Deploy the correct implementation of local, collective agreement related policies & benefits including appropriate staff representative involvement. Remain up to date with emerging trends, changing in legislation and (co) develop effective strategies in response.

Industrial Relations expert representative for the company. Provide advice to Business Leaders/Managers on IR/ER strategy, policy, and processes, e.g. consultation requirements, management of compliance, grievance/disciplinary procedures etc.

Handle performance management cases, long term illness and (potential) dismissal. Remain up to date with emerging trends, changes in legislation and develop appropriate responses at local level.

Responsible for consistent and fair handling of resolving grievances, Code of Conduct complaints & disciplinary measures. Working with Legal in managing of reconciliation of labor cases with Labor Department.

What You Need:

Possess minimum qualification of Diploma in Human Resource Management or any related field.

At least 3-5 years of proven experience in IR/ER field.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with all levels of employees.

Strong knowledge & experience in Malaysian Labour Law, IR/ER, Employment Act & other related legislation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
