Technical Sales Engineer (B2B | Lubricants)

At least 3 years' experience in FMCG / Marketing / Retail-related. Prior knowledge and experience in lubricant sales an added advantage, Ms Excel (Pivot Table + v-lookup)

What this role involves:

You shall primarily focus on collaboration and supporting the B2B Shell Distributors in your assigned area by identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and existing customers to drive revenue and growth, provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests, establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule, and determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios on applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

In order to gain customer acceptance, you shall be tasked to explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements and maximizes profitability through value-based selling, keep informed on current and future local industry requirements; contribute information on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements, and needed actions, prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends, and contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

What you need:

Bachelor degree in Sales & Marketing, Business or equivalent. MBA is a plus.

At least 3 years' experience in FMCG / Marketing / Retail-related. Prior knowledge and experience in lubricant sales an added advantage.

Additional mastery of Mandarin and/or local dialect an added advantage (due to market environment).

Good command of English Language and communications skills with ability to liaise with diverse teams and backgrounds.

Knowledge on: i) Ms Excel (i.e. Pivot table, V-lookup and other formulas); ii) Ms Powerpoint (i.e. presentations & charts)

Well-built skills in project management i.e. organization, prioritization and time management.

40 hours spread over 5 days a week.
