About the Client:

Our Client is a multinational reinsurance company. The Senior Manager IT Applications shall spearhead systems design and architecture solutioning, whilst keeping close to the IT roadmap and not deviating away from the infrastructure design. Key external relationships include: IT Software Vendors, Auditors and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

What This Role Involves:

You will be leading, monitoring and guiding the software development team and business analyst in achieving superior standards in company IT.

You will act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality and play a key-role in determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications.

Perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed and responsible for the development and implementation of solution roadmaps and to ensure successful introductions across the organization and with customers.

Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets for respective business areas and develop solution concepts for various business cases.

Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors.

Create shared vision of their respective solutions and facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms.

Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.

What You Need:

Minimum degree in Bachelor degree or equivalent in Information Technology / Computer Science (CGPA 3.0 and above).

At least 10 years’ experience in IT leadership & governance role with demonstrated up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.

Possess Software Quality Assurance (QA) skills and ability in identifying potential issues within the software.

Proven experience in developing and realizing enterprise IT roadmaps and budgets.

Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources.

Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources.
