What this role involves:

As a Project Coordinator, you shall be directly in-charge to coordinate/lead the execution of special project – Execution of works for nearly 100 sites scattered across Peninsular Malaysia to comply with authority requirement (installation and Operation). You shall assist Project Engineer to work with contractor to create a safe construction/implementation plan of a project and identify the resources needed to complete each phase of the project, review report from contractors and technical service team on IC site installation and inspection, coordinate the communication with the stakeholders (Technical Service team, contractors, project engineer, authority, other project beneficiaries) of the project construction and operation requirements, and coordinate the requirement of relevant documentations for submission to authority to obtain relevant licenses (ATI, ATO, PGL, GSL, etc).

You will need to do regular follow up with authorities to obtain the licenses approval, conduct regular meeting with contractor supervisor and Technical Service Team, lead to track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately, assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals, and proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to Engineering Manager.

What you need:

Degree Holder in Engineering with at least 5 years experience in project supervision in heavy industries. Competency certificates in Gas Engineering from ST/DOSH will be added advantage.

The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally & externally is essential. Able to communicate in local language is essential.

Self drive with complementing team player quality. Problem solving and risk assessment skills.

Knowledge of HSSE management systems, HEMP and NGC HSSE standards, their implementation and practical interpretation / experience would be desirable.
